El primer paso para aplicar un  mortero es prepar el soporte. Limpiaremos a fondo el soporte, si tiene manchas e grasa las eliminaremos con un desincrustante y un desengrasante. Eliminaremos los materiales sueltos y las lechadas. Una vez que el soporte esta perfectamente limpio, procederemos a reparar los deconchones y las grietas que pueda haber. Las grietas se reparan con una resina epoxy, si tienen movimiento se grapan con unas cabillas metalicas tal y como se aprecia en la fotografia.
